A large and enthusiastic group of 120 Democrats, not only from Dundee Township but from across the county and state, joined in a fun evening at Carmina’s Mexican Restaurant in Elgin for our Annual Kennedy Dinner & Fundraiser.
Thanks to all the volunteers who helped make it such a success! Committee Chair Melissa Day assembled a group of energetic Dems including Deb Chabi, Mary Jean Adkins, Mel Recjevich, and Katie Debus who all put in a ton of time to make this event appear effortless and be such a success.
Our speedy format allowed some 20 Democratic Candidates (or their spokesperson) in contested primary races to give 2-minute presentations about the “most important point” of their campaign, and Katie, our time Czar, made sure that speakers kept pace!
The pledge and pep talk by Kane County Democratic Chair, Mark Guethle, kicked off the event. Madam Chair, Corinne Pierog, welcomed everyone. Office Holders from across the county helped Dundee Township Chair, Chris Kious, introduce the Candidates. Thanks to State Senator and candidate for District 8 Central Committee Person, Cristina Castro, States Attorney, Jamie Mosser, Circuit Clerk, Theresa Barriero, Auditor, Penny Wegman, and Coroner, Monica Silva for attending and providing invaluable support during the program.
