VOTE FOR RESIDENT SERVICES IN DUNDEE TOWNSHIP

What to know about the April 1, 2025 Election
Dundee Township is a blend of suburban and rural areas. We are a community that supports and assists our neighbors.
The township is here to serve. Dundee Township includes Carpentersville, East Dundee, West Dundee, parts of Elgin and unincorporated areas. Illinois law allows us to provide mental health, transportation assistance, social services for the poor and aged and other benefits to our community.
Dundee Township Democrats stand strongly behind the services we should be providing to our community. We run because some conservative members of the Dundee Township Board are resistant on providing services we should be providing.
Democratic Candidates are Pledged to:
- Strengthen the resources of our Mental Health Board
- Provide nutrition assistance for the poor and aged who are our neighbors
- Preserve transportation services for those who cannot afford them
- Bolster open spaces to enhance the unique charm and vitality of our township
Why We’re Running

MENTAL HEALTH – In March 2020, Dundee Township residents overwhelmingly approved funding for the Dundee Township’s Mental Health Board. The community response to the local mental health, substance use disorder, and developmental disability needs of our neighbors was loud and clear: the measure passed with 65.3% of the vote… almost two to one!
But some members of the Township Board thwarted the will of the voters and voted NO for adequate funding. They refused to use funds that voters overwhelmingly said they wanted.

FOOD PANTRIES – There are several food pantries available to residents who need basic nutrition assistance. These include: F. I. S. H. Pantry, D300 Food Pantry and Cardunal Community Cares. Some board members of Cardunal Community Cares are members of Dundee Township Democrats.

RIDE IN KANE – is a public paratransit transportation service providing curb to curb bus or taxi service to individuals 65 and older, individuals with a disability, and those with low income who qualify for the service in Kane County. Ride in Kane operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

OPEN SPACES – Open spaces are vital to our community and our way of life. Dundee Township Democrats have always been in the forefront of acquiring and protecting open spaces. We pledge to continue to do so.
